Before Russia’s newer batch of circuits opened in the early 2010s, the ADM Raceway (also known as the Autodrom Moscow), 30 kilometres to the south-west of the capital, was one of the country’s only tracks.

Constructed on the Myachkovo Airort, the circuit opened in 2001 when a track was laid out on the airport’s access roads and the northern edge of the main runway, creating the first permanent racing venue in Russia.

Until this time, the Russian Touring Car Championship had been reliant on street circuits in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Togliatti.

In 2005, the circuit was completely rebuilt, creating the long layout present to the current day, with numerous different variations possible.

The FIA Grade 3 circuit can be run in both a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. Since newer and more modern venues have now been built in Russia, it is no longer a regular on the RTCC calendar, but the national racing scene still pays occasional visits to the track.
